Chowgirls is a woman-owned catering company that is best known for its food. And it's not just your standard catering fare, it's creative and unique, with a focus on local, organic suppliers accompanied by a strong rock'n' roll attitude. If you were to use one word to describe both the company and the food, it would have to be badass. So, naturally, their brand needed to match it.
THE NEW BRAND
Chowgirls was looking to clean up their brand, make it a bit more modern and still pay homage to the original logo that was created. I proposed a modular system that incorporated a new abbreviated glyph that serves as the center of the new radial design.
BRINGIN' SOME LOCAL FLAVOR
With the identity refreshed, it was time to roll out and refresh their overall brand. Leveraging some of their longstanding connections with the local talent in Minneapolis, new fonts, typography, photo direction and graphics were built to expand and consistently deliver a standout experience.
